Ravi was born and raised in sunny Tucson, Arizona. The natural beauty of Tucson, with its blue skies, mountains, saguaros, colorful sunsets, and clear starry nights left a lasting impression on Ravi, nurturing his innate curiosity and feeling of connectedness with others. As the son of immigrant parents from Tamil Nadu, India, he grew up immersed in a blend of Indian traditions and the multicultural fabric of Tucson, shaping his worldview and values.
Ravi began his career as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, where he served clients globally across the technology, telecommunications, and pharmaceutical industries on topics ranging from finance and operations, to product strategy, to marketing and branding. Ravi also served public sector clients, and presented his work at the United Nations.
After McKinsey, Ravi transitioned to Springboard, a Silicon Valley education-technology startup, where he built and led a 40+ person organization as Vice President of Sales, and oversaw 6x revenue growth post-Series A funding. He then built out Springboard's corporate training programs as Vice President of Enterprise & Executive Education.
In parallel, Ravi earned a coaching certification from New Ventures West, and has led leadership development programs for numerous F500 companies. Through all of these experiences, Ravi felt the energy and power of focused teamwork, with everyone working towards a common goal and each person bringing their own strengths to the table.
Ravi has degrees in Mathematics and Molecular Biology from the University of Arizona, where he was 1 of 20 students selected annually for a full-ride Flinn Scholarship. During his undergraduate years, he traveled extensively, living in Brazil to practice Portuguese, interning at a rural medical clinic in Peru, and spending semesters in Singapore and Spain to study Tamil, physics, Spanish, and economics.
For a few months after university, Ravi conducted research with the Busara Center for Behavioral Economics in Nairobi, to better understand how we can serve low-income communities. His diverse experiences broadened his perspective, built fluency in multiple languages, and fostered lifelong friendships with peers from around the world.
Ravi's career and life are guided by his passion for helping others develop, feel a deep sense of connection and belonging, and have fun in the process. He finds meaning in being a source of warmth, energy, and inspiration for others, and his varied hobbies over the years—from playing tennis and the flute, to improv comedy, to yoga—reflect his ongoing commitment to living at the intersection of personal growth and joyful play.
Today, Ravi balances his professional endeavors with his love for exploration, swimming, stargazing, hiking, meditation, and spending time with family and friends.
